Casey O’Brien Crogan is a 27 year old professional musician that has worked hard to become a first call drummer for performance, instruction, and studio session work in the Atlanta area. Over the past 5 years Casey has toured nationally, recorded with countless regional, national and local artists, and has gained a positive reputation in the Atlanta community as a unique, innovative, and passionate drum teacher.
Casey is currently recording and touring with Atlanta recording artist and 2012 Georgia Music Award “Best Male Vocalist” recipient Davin McCoy and also with 8-time Grammy nominated artist Ashanti “The Mad Violinist” Floyd (violinist for Lupe Fiasco) & The Symphony Crack Orchestra. In just the few short years Casey has been playing professionally he has recorded, performed, or shared the stage with such greats as Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie, Jeff Beck), Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros./Rolling Stones/John Mayer), Randall Bramblett (Athens Legend, Widespread Panic), Killer Mike (Outkast), David Labuyere (John Mayer), Gorilla Zoe, Erica Sunshine Lee, Mr. Greg’s Musical Madness, and many, many others.
When not performing or recording, Casey is a devoted and passionate drum instructor. Based within a fun, relaxed context, Casey has developed a natural teaching method that focuses on learning and understanding the building blocks of drum set playing, familiarizing and connecting these building blocks, and applying them to individual expression. Casey has the ability to take nearly anyone without prior drum set or rhythmic experience, and, within days, turn them into beat playing drummers! He specializes in ages 5 and up!
